Lost Heroes Comic
Story and Art by Rob Prior

You may recognize the art style utilized in the new comic series "Lost Heroes." You may also recognize the characters.

"Lost Heroes" is the new comic series written and illustrated by "Heaven Forbid" cover artist Rob Prior. Although the story is pure fiction, the characters in "Lost Heroes" may cause a case of déja vu. Unlike any other comic ever before, the characters in "Lost Heroes" are real people.

Some of the faces you'll recognize include Mark Hammill (Star Wars), Walter Koenig (Star Trek), Jason Carter, Pat Tallman and Robin Atkin-Downes (Babylon 5), Bill Mumy (Lost In Space, Babylon 5) and Eric Bloom. Eric Bloom? Yes, that's right. Eric appears in issue #1, as some sort of FBI Agent (of Fortune?) and is slated to be a recurring character.

It was artist Rob Prior's idea to cast his comic with real celebrities, and it dovetails perfectly with his photo-realistic style. After gaining each person's permission to use their likeness, Rob began to go to work, and the result is this new series, already three issues deep, with the fourth issue due out in June.

Prior's background is art, art, and more art.  He has studied it, taught it and lives it.  He has done work for George Lucas's "Star Wars" and when the "Star Wars" exhibit opens at the Smithsonian later this month, some of Rob's artwork will be in the exhibit.

"Lost Heroes" is Prior's first series as a creator, but other comics he's painted include "Spawn" and "The Impaler" series. Look for issues #0, #1 and #2 of "Lost Heroes" at your local comic store!
