Wounded Bird Records has re-released Buck Dharma's hard-to-find 1982 solo album, "Flat Out" in a CD edition.
The record was released in Europe on CD in the mid-1990s in a limited quantity. Once that pressing sold out, the CD became increasingly rare.
Now, thanks to this new release, it is available to everyone.

This Labor Day weekend premiering Saturday, August 30, Sunday August 31 and Monday, September 1 VH1 Classic is on-site at the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, South Dakota. Allen, Buck and Eric will be appearing July 25th on New York's Metro TV on the "Radio Chick on the Prowl" show. The Radio Chick is the morning on-air personality at New York's Q104 radio station, who now has her own TV show on cable channel MetroTV. "Radio Chick on the Prowl" airs at 10pm Friday nights, and repeats Sunday at 10.
Metro TV is on Cablevision 60 and Time Warner Cable 70. |

BOC is one of the acts scheduled to play at "A Night of Healing", a benefit concert to aid the victims & families of The Station nightclub fire. The fire, which broke out during a Great White concert killed 97 people and injured many more. The Station was a nightclub that BOC has played at many times in the past. The benefit concert will be held at the Providence Performing Arts Center, in Providence, RI, April 22, 2003. On Saturday, April 26 Rhode Island residents and New Englanders will be able to see the concert on television. In Rhode Island, the show will be broadcast on WJAR News Channel 10. The New England broadcast will be carried by Comcast. Viewers will be able to call in and pledge support for the fund during the broadcasts.

VH-1 CLASSIC, a VH1 premium channel (not VH1 itself) will be showing a half-hour of BOC videos and interview on their "Headline Act" show. The show will include "classic videos from the group and an exclusive new interview with band members Buck Dharma and Eric Bloom, who stopped by the VH1 Classic studio to discuss their new CD/DVD "A Long Day's Night."

The concert at The Grove in Anaheim, CA on February 13 will be recorded by Westwood One for their "Superstar Concert Series" syndicated radio show.
The concert will be broadcast at a later date on over 150 stations nationwide that carry the Superstar Concert Series. |

Sony Records will release "The Essential Blue Öyster Cult" on March 18, 2003. This compilation joins several others Sony has released in its "Essential" series. It will contain 14 songs from BÖC's back catalog.

Sanctuary Records will release a new compilation disc, titled "Then And Now" on March 18, 2003. The disc features 12 songs, 4 each from "A Long Day's Night", "Curse of the Hidden Mirror" and "Heaven Forbid."

"Agents of Fortune" is being released by Sony on high fidelity SACD (Super Audio CD) format. Release date is March 18, 2003. The disc will contain both a Multichannel Stereo and Multichannel Surround version of the songs. It includes one bonus track, "Fire of Unknown Origin" from those original recording sessions (Not the later version that appeared on "Fire of Unknown Origin." The album was remixed for surround by Shelley Yakus, the engineer on the original recording.
Playing SACDs requires an SACD player. The discs do not play on standard CD playing equipment. |

"A Long Day's Night" is being released on Silverline Records in 6-channel DVD-Audio (DVD-A) format. Release date is set for February 25, 2003. This format is playable on any standard DVD player or computer DVD-ROM drive.The disc will also contain still images from the concert and other informational screens. |

DirecTV is broadcasting "A Long Day's Night" throughout January on their FreeView Channel.
The broadcasts will be shown 6 am Friday through 6 am Monday, starting on New Year's Day and continuing throughout the month of January. |
